Surprisingly enough, there is someone called Leon in Leon, and with the band releasing ‘Getting Into You’ on their own label – you’ve got to hand it to Leon. The person and the band.

The single is Summery, despite it not even being Spring properly yet. The bleep-bleep of some electronic device or other accompanies a tune that may be oversimplified, but since simplicity is one of the stated goals of the band, they’ve done a pretty good job. It’s quirky and although it loses some of the early momentum towards the end, there’s still a strange impulse to play it one more time ever so often.
