This past weekend was filled with rock ‘n’ roll and included crowd surfing, witty stage banter, sore feet, and staying up way past my bedtime.
Late on Saturday, playing a Valentine’s Day show, Harlem Shakes headlined at Southpaw in Brooklyn and played to an enthusiastic crowd (considering they went on after 1am).

Phil and the Osophers and Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers opened; photos forthcoming.
Sunday, Titus Andronicus played their second show at Bowery Ballroom. They opened for Los Campesinos! (photos also forthcoming), but the crowd was just as happy to mosh and sing along with singer, Patrick. Key moment: Patrick’s cousin coming up on stage to take photos for their local New Jersey paper and then getting so lost in the moment, he humped Patrick from behind while the guy was in the middle of some serious fret work. His cousin’s mind, no doubt, was dazzled by the limelight.

Keep a look out for photos from my next night of madness as tomorrow night I’m snapping White Rabbits at Mercury Lounge.
